Hello my name is Rozy Walker and I am a Parish Mental Health Occupational Therapist (OT).
I have a BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy and a Post Grad Diploma in Clinical Education.
I am a mental health specialist and work Mon to Fri within a Mental Health Trust in Essex.
I have a particular interest in the use of meaningful and creative activity to promote well-being, the importance of inclusion in a supportive local community and I teach mindfulness (I trained with the Oxford University).
Peter Ellis – Chair of Trustees
Our charity was formed in 2017 so that we can act as fundraisers and employers for Capel Parish Nurses, enabling front line staff to concentrate on their Nursing and Occupational Therapist roles.
I am retired, having previously been an International Operations Manager for a major UK financial institution.
Additionally, I am on the Board of Trustees of two other organisations.
Jill Sharp – Line manager
I support the Parish Nurse and OT in delivering the operational service and to connect the ‘staff’ with the charity’s Trustees.
This is a role recommended by Parish Nursing UK and helps to enable frontline staff do their work with minimal time in meetings.
I am a fitness and Pilates instructor and also work for a local authority in change and transformation, so the wider view of health and helping people to reach their full potential has always been an interest.
Gill Durrant – Treasurer & Trustee
I retired in 2015 from the role of School Business Manager in a local primary school – a position which I had held for 21 years.
During that time I was also a school Governor for 16 years.
The requirements of these positions have enabled me to support the work of Parish Nurses from a financial and admin perspective.
Carole Almond – Secretary & Trustee
I worked in admin and IT with Suffolk Probation Service for many years, and then at Otley College where I taught IT to adults.
In more recent years before retirement, I designed and taught my own computer sessions at home.
I am on the leadership team at Capel Methodist Church, am a local preacher on the Methodist Circuit and a full-time carer for my husband who has Dementia.
